Kent came from behind to win 3-2 away to the Royal Navy at Portsmouth in midweek and make it two wins from two in the Southern Counties Cup.

Royal Navy took the lead through in spectacular fashion, with a dipping strike from 30 yards hitting the roof of the net, giving Cara Davies no chance.

Kent equalised 7 minutes later from a corner, Charlie Myhill with the corner and Millie Waud forcing it home at the near post.

The teams went in level at the break but 2 minutes after the restart, the visitors took the lead.

A clearance from Natasha Moloney went all the way through to Amy Russ, who held off the defender before lofting the ball into the corner of the net.

On the hour, Kent extended their lead as Myhill was quick to latch onto a poor defensive header in the box to get a shot in, the keeper made the save but Myhill was able to force the ball home.

Royal Navy responded well however and got a goal back minutes later, Kent conceded possession in trying to counter-attack and the low drive from the edge of the box arrowed into the far corner.

Kent had chances to kill off the match but both Russ and Imogen Alabaster guided shots wide after beating the offside trap.

Five minutes from time the hosts hit the bar as they were searching for the equaliser, but in the end Kent were able to hold them off.
