Australia confirmed their spot at the Olympic Women’s Football tournament in Japan with a 2-1 win over Vietnam that gave them a 7-1 aggregate victory.
A 5-1 home win in the play off first leg last week had effectively secured their berth, with a Sam Kerr brace which included a penalty, while there was one each for Chloe Logarzo, Emily van Egmond and Clare Polkinghorne.
Chelsea’s Kerr struck again 19 minutes into the second leg and Hayley Raso of Everton doubled the lead inside the half-hour.
Huỳnh Như replied for Vietnam 10 minutes after the interval.
China and South Korea clash in the other play off in early June.
