Lucy Somes has joined Lewes FC Women after her release by Brighton & Hove Albion, while Charley Boswell makes the move from Portsmouth.
Somes had been with the Seagulls since the age of 8 and the striker / winger has recent experience of playing in WSL2.
Manager John Donoghue told lewesfc.om: ‘I had the pleasure of working with Lucy in the past. She has a great touch, can go past players with ease and has an eye for goal, as can be seen from her record at Brighton.
We are bringing in a talented and determined player who will keep improving. It’s always good to have someone so keen to sign for the club.’
Boswell – a midfielder / winger – played a key role in Brighton’s promotion-winning season in 2015/16 before joining south coast rivals Portsmouth last season.
She said of her transfer: “I am looking forward to the new challenge the Championship will bring. Lewes have a fantastic structure in place to compete at this level.”
