Lewes FC Women sign former Man City winger

Lewes FC Women have signed Lucy Ashworth-Clifford, who recently moved back to England after playing for Lamar University in Texas.

Ashworth-Clifford was a FA Girls’ Youth Cup runner-up with Manchester United in 2016, later signing for Manchester City but leaving after one season to play and study in the USA.

During her time playing in Division 1 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, she helped her side win their conference and also won Player of the Tournament and Student-Athlete of the Year honours.
