Ghana and Nigeria will represent Africa at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France, after aggregate wins over Cameroon and South Africa respectively.
Ghana were held 1-1 in their away leg of the African qualifiers 3rd and final round but then made the most of home advantage to post a 4-1 win over all.
Joint top scorer in the competition, Priscilla Adubea was on target in both games.
Nigeria had an easier passage, a 2-0 away success followed by a 6-0 home win, with all but one of their goals over the two games coming in the first half.
Rasheedat Ajibade netted one in South Africa and two in the return to finish on 10 goals, level with Adubea.
Nigeria had reached the last stage with aggregate wins over Tanzania (9-0) and Morocco (6-2), while Ghana dispatched Algeria 10-0 and also put ten past Kenya but with one in reply.
The Falconets and Black Princesses also won through to the previous U-20 World Cup, two years ago in Papua New Guinea.
