Erin Cuthbert has topped a public vote to win the BT Scotland Women’s Player of the Year award for 2019.

The Chelsea player clinched the award ahead of three fellow nominees; Jen Beattie, Kim Little and Caroline Weir.

Cuthbert scored against Argentina at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France this summer and also recently won the Scottish FA Goal of the Year competition for her long-distance effort in the friendly with Jamaica at Hampden Park.

Her goal pipped efforts by Men’s captain Andy Robertson against Cyprus and Elena Santoyo-Brown’s match-winner for Scotland Women’s U-19s.
