Sussex kicked off their Southern Counties Cup Competition South Group games with a big win over Kent at Lancing, where the hosts scored six times after the interval.
Teagan Ashley got the sole first-half goal after 18 minutes, beating the defender on the left she then hit a looping shot over the goalkeeper and into the net.
The lead was doubled on 5 minutes when Ashley was on target again, firing home from a lay off by Charlotte Young.
A quickfire double then settled the match, as Meghann Wingsutton caught the keeper of her line and 4 minutes later Skye Bacon curled in the fourth goal.
Wingsutton picked the ball up in midfield and advanced before striking number five from 20 yards out.
Hayley Bridge bagged a late brace, with the second coming in stoppage time from Bacon’s cross.
Kent had earlier opened the fixtures with a 2-1 defeat of Jersey but Sussex now lead the South table and next visit the Royal Navy on 12th December.
