Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League leaders Cardiff Met edged Cardiff City FC 3-2, while Swansea City in second were 4-0 winners over Llandudno.

Leaders win with late double
Cardiff Met stayed five points clear at the top with three game to go, as they came from behind to win the capital clash against Cardiff City FC with two late goals.
Erin Murray’s early effort was cancelled out by an Alana Murphy strike and City then went ahead in the second half from a Kanisha Underdown penalty after Lucy McDonough was fouled.
Met equalised through Rebecca Mathias with 6 minutes to go and then Murray netted her second to take all three points.

Swans still in the hunt
An early goal by Katie Davies set Swansea City on the way to a 4-0 defeat of Llandudno.
But it was almost an hour later when Katy Hosford’s shot was deflected in by Jemila Bukari to double the advantage.
Kelly Newcombe netted the third from a Sophie Hancocks’ corner and Stacey John-Davis completed the scoring at the end.
Seven up for Abergavenny
A goal-fest at Abergavenny saw the hosts come out on top, 7-3 against Rhyl.
Lyndsey Davies led with a four-goal haul, Kate Jeremiah added a couple and Laura Davies the other for the hosts.
Rhyl trailed 5-1 at half-time but pulled a couple more goals back after falling 6-1 behind, their scorers were Emily Jones (penalty), Rachael Nattrass and Rachel Lloyd.
Abergavenny are back in action on Wednesday, at home to Cardiff City FC.
Caldicot win basement battle
Caldicot Town are off the bottom at Caernarfon Town’s expense, having defeated their North Wales visitors 3-1.
Naomi Cook bagged a brace and Emily Bayliss got the other goal for the home side.
February/March Player and Manager of the Month awards
The amount of postponements caused the latest awards to cover two months instead of one.
Alisha Young of Caldicot was awarded Player of the Month having been selected by opposition coaches as Player of the Game on multiple occasions.
Swansea’s Ian Owen is the Manager of the Month, after collecting ten points from a possible twelve and reaching the Welsh Cup Final.
Cardiff Cup Finals Double-Header
Cardiff City Stadium will host this year’s FAW Women’s Cup Final, as Cardiff City FC face Swansea City at pm on Sunday 15th April.
The U-16 Girls’ Cup Final takes place beforehand at 12pm, over the road at the Cardiff International Sports Campus, with Barry Town United and Villa Dino Christchurch the finalists.
Those attending the Girls’ Final will be given a ticket for free entry to the Women’s Cup Final, whose admission prices are otherwise: Adults £4; Juniors/OAPs – £1.
