Cardiff City FC Women only just managed to stay within striking range of the leaders with a late winner at Port Talbot Town. Briton Ferry Llansawel beat Aberystwyth Town for the second week running, this time 4-2 away in a League Cup group stage game. Nia Davies got the opener but Tania Wylde equalised for Aber in first-half stoppage time. Sophie Topper scored twice within 16 minutes of coming off the bench and Lowri Baker further extened the lead with Libby Isaac then getting Town’s second.

The last game of 2019 sees Swansea City host Cardiff City FC on Sunday 29 December in the final group stage fixture.
