Cardiff Met took the lead through Maddie Schupbach on 18 minutes against Briton Ferry Llansawel and Grace Corne’s effort early in the second half was enough to lift them above their capital rivals into second place.
Swansea City remain three points clear at the top, with a game in hand over the Archers.
Cyncoed rescued a point at home to Abergavenny, unable to repeat last week’s away win over the same opposition. Laura Davies netted in the 20th minute as Abergavenny ended up with just their fourth point of the campaign, Lauren Harris leveling with 18 minutes left.
