#FAWNL: Crawley Wasps and AFC Wimbledon Ladies go top

Crawley Wasps and AFC Wimbledon went top of their respective FA Women’s National League tables, Middlesbrough and Plymouth Argyle made the Plate semi-finals.

Hull City climbed off the bottom of the Northern Premier with a 2-1 win at Fylde, all the goals came in the last 10 minutes, Alice Hughes and Katie Thompson putting the Tigresses 2-0 up. Loughborough Foxes fought back from 3-0 down to West Brom with the aid of a Grace Stanley brace to go in all square at half-time and 3-3 is how it remained.

Crawley Wasps went three points ahead of Watford at the top of the Southern Premier after seeing off third-placed Cardiff City Ladies 2-0, goals from Megan Stow and Naomi Cole.

Wolves went nine points ahead of the rest in Division 1 Midlands with a 4-0 result over Long Eaton United. Doncaster Rovers Belles beat basement side Burton Albion 2-0 to move seven points above the drop zone.

Liverpool Feds rose to third in Division 1 North after just getting the better of Chester le Street Town 3-2 with Carla Lee’s stoppage-time effort, Chorley are three points from safety after holding Durham Cestria 1-1, while Newcastle United’s Beth Gardener netted twice without reply against Bradford City.

AFC Wimbledon’s 2-0 win at Cambridge United came with one apiece by Katie Stanley and Georgia Heasman, to see them take pole position in Division 1 South East from Ipswich Town.

Exeter City are third in Division 1 South West having beaten Maidenhead United 3-0, Abbie Britton with two of the Grecians’ goals.. Poole Town secured a first victory at the eleventh attempt, 3-1 over Brislington as Faye Hawkins and Sacha Paynter were among the goals.

Middlesbrough made it through to the Plate semi-finals when edging out Nottingham Forest 2-1, Chloe Dixon and Hannah Luke with first-half goals. Plymouth Argyle joined them in the last four with a 3-1 defeat of Stevenage, Katie Middleton and Beth Iverson making it 2-0 in the first quarter of the game.
