Brighton & Hove Albion will host Birmingham City in the Women’s FA Cup quarter-finals after a brace by debutant Rianna Jarrett helped them win 3-0 at Crystal Palace.

Jarrett looped home her first from the edge of the box on 14 minutes but Lucy Gillett turned Danique Kerkdijk’s effort away from the top corner to leave just one goal in it at the break.

However, just 36 seconds after the restart Jarrett headed in her second from an Emily Simpkins cross and she might have completed a hat-trick but Gillett tipped her effort around the post.

Ini Umotong did get Albion’s third goal against their Championship hosts though, with a solo effort on 69 minutes.
