#UWCL Round of 32: Bayern Women and PSG both win away legs

Away wins for Bayern Munich and PSG in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 32 1st Leg, while Slavia Praha drew at Fiorentina.

1st Leg results for 10 December:

Fiorentina 2-2 Slavia Praha
Górnik Leczna 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain
Ajax 1-3 Bayern Munich
Vålerenga P-P Brøndby

All the goals came in the last half-hour or so, as Bayern Munich won 3-1 at Ajax, the visitors breaking the deadlock with a Kay-Lee de Sanders own-goal. Sydney Lohmann made it 2-0 and although Jonna Van de Velde replied, Simone Laudehr restored the two-goal advantage.

PSG struck twice in the first 25 minutes for a 2-0 win at Górnik Leczna, Jordyn Huitema and Sandy Baltimore finding the net.

Despite a fourth-minute Louise Quinn goal for Fiorentina, the Italian side ended up having to rescue a point at home to Slavia Praha. Mia Persson and Petra Divišová turned the game on its head but Daniela Sabatino levelled in the 79th minute.

Thursday’s other tie, Vålerenga versus Brøndby, was postponed after the Norwegian local authorities quarantined the Danish side.
