Chelsea made it three wins from three in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Group Stage when seeing off Real Madrid with two second-half goals.
Group A
Chelsea 2-0 Real Madrid
Paris Saint-Germain 5-0 Vllaznia
Group B
Slavia Prague 0-1 St Polten
Roma 1-1 Wolfsburg
Chelsea made the breakthrough midway into the second period, when Erin Cuthbert’s corner was headed on by Millie Bright and nodded in from close range by Sophie Ingle.
The lead was doubled 11 minutes later, Cuthbert’s cross from near the corner flying straight in, as the Blues moved five points clear at the top of the table.
PSG’s first win came 5-0 over Vllaznia, as Grace Geyoro’s opener was followed by an own-goal, Ramona Bachmann penalty, plus efforts by Sandy Baltimore and Magaba Kone Folquet.
Wolfsburg and Roma drew 1-1 but are four points ahead of third-placed St Polten in Group B.
Valentina Giacinti gave Roma a third-minute lead but Ewa Pajor replied half-an-hour later.
Maria Mikolajová hit a stoppage-time winner for St Polten, who then had Jasmin Elder dismissed away to Slavia Prague.
