Aberdeen confirmed their place in the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League Cup last eight after a narrow win over Motherwell.

The Dons forced the only goal of the game as Bayley Hutchison charged down an attempted clearance by goalkeeper Khym Ramsay. Kaela McDonald-Nguah almost levelled soon after but as denied by the crossbar.

Also in Group A, Queen’s Park got their first points at the expense of hosts Boroughmuir Thistle. Courtney Whyte got a couple as the Spiders scored three second-half goals.
