#SWPLCup: Glasgow City first team through to quarter-finals

The second round of SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League group stage games saw Glasgow City reach the Quarter-Final stage.

Group A: Motherwell 0-5 Rangers, Queen’s Park 0-4 Aberdeen

Group B: Stirling University 1-7 Dundee United

Group C: Glasgow City 4-1 Spartans, Hamilton Academical 3-0 Glasgow WFC

Group D: Celtic 2-0 Hearts, St Johnstone 0-4 Partick Thistle

Aberdeen and Rangers made is back-to-back wins, Eva Thomson and Bayley Hutchison both grabbing doubles for the Dons at Queen’s Park, Brogan Hay and Lizzie Arnot doing likewise for the Gers at Motherwell.

Danni McGinley hit a hat-trick as Dundee United stormed to a 7-1 win at Stirling University.

Ode Fulutudilu got a couple in Glasgow City’s 4-1 defeat of Spartans, Josephine Giard, Rachel Ross and Megan Quigley shared the spoils as Hamilton saw off Glasgow Women.

Celtic won at their new home of Airdrie, Tegan Bowie and Kathleen McGovern finding the net against Hearts, Partick put four past St Johnstone, with a couple from Teigan McCann.
