Glasgow City stayed goal-difference ahead of Hibernian at the top of the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League after the pair drew 1-1, while Celtic went second with victory over Hamilton Academical.
Glasgow City and Hibs both dropped points for only the second time this season. Lizzie Arnott gave Hibernian the lead but Hayley Lauder levelled 5 minutes after the interval.
Celtic edged into second place on goals scored, having put four past Hamilton. Josephine Giard opened the scoring at the second attempt on 52 minutes and got her second moments after Kiera Gibson was forced into a great save by Accies. Academy player Nicole Cairney got on the scoresheet before Colette Cavanagh headed in a corner for the fourth
Forfar Farmington went fourth with a 3-1 result at Spartans, scoring three times in a sixteen-minute spell straddling half-time. Nicola Davidson was first to find the net, Cheryl Kilcoyne and Danni McGinley then making the points safe before Kaela McDonald-Nguah pulled a late goal back.
Stirling University moved within a point of fifth-placed Rangers when defeating them 2-0. Lauren Doran-Barr beat the offside trap to squeeze the ball home and Beth McKay sealed the victory with a 25-yard strike 10 minutes from the end.

Motherwell make it eight straight wins in SWPL 2
Motherwell moved eight points clear at the top of SWPL 2 with a 2-1 win against Hearts. Hayley Cunningham’s opener was cancelled out by Jenny Smith but Lesley Condie then hit an 83rd-minute winner.
Glasgow Girls climbed two places to third with the only goal of the game at second in the table Kilmarnock, Lucy McEwan scoring just after the half-hour mark.
Aberdeen were twice in front but eventually held 2-2 at home by basement side Central Girls Academy. Chloe Gover got the first goal and the visitors replied before the break through Kim McAlpine. Lauren Gordon turned and fired the Dons back in front going into the last 15 minutes, only for Ellie Kane to equalise from outside the box.
St Johnstone fought back for an equal share of six goals with Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale at McDiarmid Park. Rebecca McGowan had the home side one up but Vale hit back three times through Anna Hume and a Beth MacLeod brace. Ellie-May Cowie reduced the arrears before Rachel Todd’s penalty a minute from time was just good enough to beat goalkeeper Charlotte Parker.
