The 1st Round ties in the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup featured an incredible 10-9 extra-time win for Blackburn United at home to Ayr United.

Blackburn were beating Ayr 4-1 at half-time but by the end of the 90 minutes it was already 6-6. The Academy side twice went ahead in extra-time but Blackburn then did likewise to eventually go through.

One of the other goal-fests came at Raith Rovers where Inverness ran out 7-5 winners. Natalie Bodiam hit a hat-trick for City, who were safely through despite conceding three times in the last 10 minutes.

Westerlands won by the best of nine goals at Deveronvale, having built up a 5-2 lead after conceding first.

Dee Ladies defeated Dumbarton United 4-3 away and there were also narrow 3-2 victories for Dundee City at Stonehaven and Renfrew against United Glasgow.

The draw for the next round will be made on Wednesday afternoon.
