Sheffield United have signed midfielder Lara Miller from fellow FA Women’s Championship side Lewes on a deal until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old started her career in the Manchester United youth teams, before switching to Manchester City with whom she won the FA Girls’ Youth Cup.
Miller returned to United for two seasons before taking her first step into senior football at the start of the current season with Lewes.
The defensive midfielder is also a former England U-19 and U-18 international.
Head coach Neil Redfearn told sufc.co.uk: “Lara is a talented young player and is very versatile with playing experience at the back and in midfield.
“I think at the age she’s at, she’s perfect for us to bring in and develop and I’m really looking forward to working with her.”
“I’m really happy to be here,” said Miller. “All I’ve heard is good things about the club and to have the chance to work under Neil with the experience he has, hopefully he can help me with my experience in the game.”
“My first impressions have been really positive. I’ve really enjoyed training with the girls, they’ve been really welcoming and I’ve loved the training and the whole environment here.”
