Paris Saint-Germain Féminines won Division 1 Arkema for the first time, ending Lyon’s 14-year run as France’s top-flight champions.

Friday evening’s fixtures saw Lyon thrash FC Fleury 8-0 with Nikita Parris contributing a brace and Jodie Taylor a single, but it wasn’t enough to secure a 15th straight title, as PSG also picked up maximum points on the night.

Paris calmed any early nerves against Dijon, as Sara Däbritz put away an eighth-minute penalty awarded for handball.

It was after the hour mark that their second goal arrived, when Sandy Baltimore’s corner was headed home by Irene Paredes.

Their first ever Division 1 title was then sealed in the last minute, as Jordyn Huitema made it 3-0 with a header from another Baltimore delivery.
