Ninth place was decided in a shoot-out, which Iceland won 5-4 over Denmark. Sanne Troelsgarrad-Nielsen have given the Danes a 63rd-minute lead but Iceland but Hlin Eiriksdotir soon levelled for a 1-1 result.
China beat Russia into last place despite going behind to a Sofia Shishkina goal. Liu Shanshan levelled and Song Duan won it for the Steel Roses with a dozen minutes left.
