USA remain the team to catch, France and the Netherlands dropped two places to fifth and sixth respectively.
Wales are up to 30th, Scotland stay 23rd, Northern Ireland down to 50th.
CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations winners South Africa moved up four places to 54th, semi-finalists Zambia are the most-improved side after surging 23 places to highest-ever ranking of 80th.
Other national bests were achieved by Jamaica (42nd, up 9), Iceland (14th, up 3), Republic of Ireland (26th, up 1) and Portugal (27th, up 3).
Cambodia, Turkmenistan, Timor-Leste and Guinea-Bissau joined the list this time, for a record-breaking 185 associations.
