First training session for ESFA U-15 England Schoolgirls’ new squad

The ESFA’s search for this season’s most talented Schools’ Footballers to represent their country in 2019 sees 18 girls from across England head to Shrewsbury this weekend for their kit presentation and first training session as a full squad.

Trials for the ESFA U-15 England Schoolgirls’ began back in October 2018, where players nominated by their counties were whittled down through regional trials until the official squad was chosen after final trials took place at Stafford Town FC in December. This Sunday (13 January), the girls will be presented with their England shirts during their day at Shrewsbury Sports Village, where they will then take part in various training activities.

In the year of the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019, which helps highlight the importance and growth of the Women’s Game, the ESFA U-15 squad will head over to Eindhoven courtesy of ESFA partners, inspiresport, for a warm weather training camp ahead of the Bob Docherty home nations tournament in Salou during April.
