#FIFAWWC Qualifiers: Germany and Portugal make winning starts

The weekend’s FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers brought clear wins for Germany and Portugal.

Germany put seven goals past visiting Bulgaria on Saturday, braces each for Lina Magull, Lea Schüller and substitute Linda Dallman.

Also in Group H on Sunday, Portugal struck twice in the first seven minutes on the way to a 4-0 victory in Israel.

Telma Encarnação got the opener, Dolores Silva converted from the spot, with Diana Gomes and Carole Costa adding one each in the last half-hour.

The qualifying group stage games continue on Tuesday 21 September.
