#SBSSWPL: Aberdeen FC Women go level on points with leaders

Aberdeen went second behind SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League leaders Hibernian on goal-difference after edging Hamilton Academical 1-0.

Dundee United 3-1 Queen’s Park
Kilmarnock 7-0 Stirling University

A 13th-minute goal was enough for Aberdeen to defeat Hamilton, Louise Brown curling the ball home from the edge of the box.

Partick Thistle picked up their first points with a 3-2 victory over Motherwell, who remain bottom of SWPL 1. Jade Greenshields but them in front but the visitors turned it around as Chelsie Watson and Kaela McDonald-Nguah netted. Cara McBrearty then levelled for the Jags and Freya MacDonald got the winner.

Dundee United opened up a three-point lead at the top of SWPL 2, with their 3-1 defeat of Queen’s Park. Rachel Todd’s brace brought a reply from Mhairi Fyfe but Alex Robson struck a late decider.

Kilmarnock got off the mark with a 7-0 sinking of basement side Stirling University, Monica Harty contributing a brace.
