Manchester City made it two cup wins in one day at St George’s Park, with a 3-1 defeat of Birmingham City in the FA WSL Development Cup final.
The Northern Division leaders had beaten Birmingham 4-1 away on the first day of the league season and were set on the way to another victory when Jess Park opened the scoring.
Park struck again and Esme Morgan made it 3-0, before Birmingham City pulled one back but a spirited second-half performance did not yield any further goals for the underdogs.
Manchester City then left SGP with two trophies, having earlier lifted the FA Girls’ Youth Cup with a 3-1 result over Reading.
