St Albans clinched the Beds & Herts League Division 1 title last Sunday despite being held to a draw, as results elsewhere went their way.
A Suzanne Read brace was not enough for victory at Garston, who hit back with a Lucy Zecchin double for a 2-2 tie.
However, with Houghton Athletic and Sherrardswood taking three points each from a double-header, it meant that neither could any longer catch St Albans.
The championship comes with two games to spare, the Saints having stayed unbeaten to date and also notched one hundred goals in league and cup this season.
It could yet be the double, with Northwood their opponents in the League Cup final at AFC Kempston Rovers on 13th May.
