The Northern Division 1 title ‘six-pointer’ saw second-placed Feds come from behind to win 3-1 away at third in the table Brighouse.

Moments after the Feds had an effort ruled out for offside, Jodie Redgrave gave the hosts the lead with a 20-yard shot.

Chantelle Thompson equalised on 55 minutes with a low strike from the top of the box and Laura Bartup then struck from 30 yards out to put them ahead.

With 12 minutes left, Carla Lee and Rosie Kinvig combined to set up Bartup for her second and the visitors’ third.

The Feds are now within five points of leaders Hull City but from a game more, while Brighouse are ten points off the top with two games in hand.

McDonnell double seals MK Dons victory

Milton Keynes Dons kept up their pursuit of South East Division 1 leaders and rivals AFC Wimbledon by sending Enfield Town to a 5-1 defeat.

The home side led by just a single goal at the interval though, Charly Wright netting from inside the box.

Alice Hughes doubled the lead and Kimberley Farrow was put through on goal to make it 3-0.

Although Enfield then pulled a goal back, a Heather McDonnell brace made certain of the points.

MK Dons are up to second but still a dozen points off the top, although they do have four games in hand.
