Charlton Athletic have signed Charlie Devlin, a 21-year-old who scored six goals in helping Manchester United gain promotion last season.

Devlin, whose previous clubs also include Millwall Lionesses and Arsenal, told cafcwomen.co.uk: “I feel delighted to join because I feel the club has got great ambition, great values and I’m happy to be a part of the journey.

“Charlton has always been a club in mind. They’ve always been competing at the top of the table and with the players we’ve got this year, I’m hoping we can get promotion.”

Devlin has 17 goals from her 39 second tier games to date and also has international experience through the England youth set-up.

In other Charlton news, club legend Kim Dixson takes up her first coaching role alongside the returning Josh Oatham in support of Riteesh Mishra, while James Marrs departs.
