Arsenal Women will host Barcelona in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday 14 August at 7.30pm after Boreham Wood FC unveil their new North Bank stand at Meadow Park.
The ground development is thanks to a grant from the Premier League through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF) – the largest funders of non-league football in the country.
The investment has enabled Boreham Wood FC, who play at Step 1 in the National League, to install a new 1,451 capacity covered stand at Meadow Park. The new North Bank stand takes the capacity at the ground up to 4,500, which ensures that it now exceeds the minimum required capacity of 4,000 spectators to meet Grade A of the FA National Ground Grading Criteria – applicable to the club’s Step 1 position.
The project was made possible thanks to a £319,790 grant from the Premier League, through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF), the sister organisation of the Football Foundation.
