Cardiff hosting Homeless World Cup

The 17th edition of the Homeless World Cup will take place in Cardiff’s iconic Bute Park, right at the heart of the Welsh capital, from 27 July to 3 August.

The Women’s competition will see 16 teams playing for two trophies; Austria, Belgium, Chile, England, Hungary, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Peru, Romania, Sweden, USA, Wales.

There were three levels of trophies last time round in 2017 in Oslo, with Mexico, Scotland and Wales the respective winners.

The event begins with a parade at 11.30am on the first day, followed by the opening matches at noon, with play finishing by 6.30pm on most days.
