Burnley FC Women will be playing their home games at Accrington Stanley’s Wham Stadium for the fast approaching new campaign.

The Clarets kick-off their fixtures in the FA Women’s National League this Sunday away to Sheffield FC, before welcoming Nottingham Forest to their new home on Sunday 22 August.

Burnley FC Chairman Alan Pace told burnleyfootballclub.com:“It’s great to be working with Accrington Stanley in this new development for our women’s team.

“Since taking over operations of the team in February this year, we outlined the intention to professionalise the women’s set-up, in a bid to boost women’s football. It is part of our long-term strategy to increase the team’s presence, infrastructure, and investment, with the news of our new home ground signifying this commitment.

“It’s an exciting time for women’s football at Burnley FC, we have implemented a number of changes so far already and there are more to come.”

Stanley Managing Director David Burgess told accringtonstanley.co.uk: “It’s an exciting opportunity for us to work alongside Burnley FC and whttp://www.accringtonstanley.co.uk:ith Burnley FC Women’s football team.
