Bristol City Women have confirmed that Megan Wynne sustained a tear to her anterior cruciate ligament during a collision in pre-season training.
Manager Tanya Oxtoby told bcfc.co.uk: “We are naturally very disappointed for her as she has shown great signs of progression during the her time with us last season and we were excited about how much further she could develop this season.
“Meg is a strong and positive person and I have no doubt she will come back from this, and as a group we will make sure we support her through this difficult time.”
The Robins said they will support the Welsh international every step of the way through her surgery and rehabilitation process.
