Bristol City have completed the signing of midfielder Amy Rogers from London City Lionesses on a two-year deal to become Lauren Smith’s first addition of the summer.

Rogers spent the last two seasons with London City where she chalked up over 50 appearances, leading the club’s scoring and assisting charts in her first campaign.

The 23-year-old earlier made more than a half-century of appearances for Liverpool and represented England up to U-21 level, before opting for Scotland, for whom she has just earned a first call-up to the senior team.

She told bcfc.co.uk“I’m so excited to join the club. I can’t wait to get going.”

“I’ve played against Bristol City for quite a few years now and it’s always been an exciting game and a really tough opponent, so I’ve always thought that it would be something I’d love to be a part of.

“The club did a brilliant job in getting promoted last season so it was a bit of a no-brainer when Lauren got on the phone and asked me to join.”
