Brighton & Hove Albion Women’s goalkeeper Megan Walsh has signed a new contract until June 2023.

The 26-year-old has made more saves than any other goalkeeper in the ten-year history of the WSL, while keeping four clean sheets in her last six games.

Walsh told brightonandhovealbion.com: “I’m delighted to sign this new contract and hopefully I can help the club go from strength to strength.

“We’ve had some great results in recent weeks and we’re looking to finish the season strongly. The team spirit is fantastic, and I love working with the squad every day, especially the goalkeepers in our group.

“Moving into our own training facilities later in the year will be another big step forward and I look forward to being part of Brighton’s journey towards becoming a top four club in the WSL.”

Head coach Hope Powell added: “Meg is a brilliant professional and such a great asset for us. Some of her performances this season have been outstanding, and the good thing is she still wants to grow and develop. We’re looking forward to helping her do that over the next few years.”
