Brighton & Hove Albion have signed attacking midfielder Madison Haley from Sydney FC, with whom she won the A-League earlier this year.

The 24-year-old who has been capped by the USA up to U-18 level, previously played for Stanford University and then scored 11 goals in 15 games for Sydney.

Head coach Melissa Phillips told brightonandhovealbion.com: “Madi is a fantastic addition to our squad. She’s come off the back of a successful season with Sydney FC in Australia and has gained many accolades during her time playing at Stanford University.

“She is an exciting and ambitious attack minded player who is dynamic and clinical around the goal, and we look forward to seeing what she can add to our team.”
