Brighton & Hove Albion’s Dutch midfielder Inessa Kaagman is to leave the club when her current contract expires at the end of June.

Kaagman joined Albion from Everton in 2020 and made 43 appearances, scoring 12 goals for the Seagulls.

The 26-year-old will sign for Dutch Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven, who competed in the Champions League this season.

Brighton head coach Hope Powell told brightonandhovealbion.com: “Inessa had been a big part of what we’ve achieved in the last two seasons and we’re going to miss her around the club because not only is she a great professional but she’s always positive around the squad.

“She wasn’t able to see friends and family for a long time during the pandemic and I know she is looking forward to being back at home.”
