Team GB Women’s Olympics send-off game against Zambia scheduled for next week has been called off.

The National Lottery-supported match was scheduled to take place at the bet365 Stadium on 1 July but Zambia were forced to pull out because of complications linked to Covid-19 restrictions.

Stoke City FC have said that ticket refunds will be issued to all who paid by credit/debit card online or over the phone, but those who made the purchase in person should contact the club’s ticket office.

Team GB will play Chile in their opening game of the Olympics on 21 July.
