#Young Lionesses lose to Norway at Algarve U-19 Tournament

Rehanne Skinner’s England U-19 side lost their first game at the Algarve Tournament in Portugal, going down 3-2 to Norway at the Stadium Vila Real de Sant Antonio.

Hannah Griffin opened the scoring for the Young Lionesses but Sara Iren Lindbak Hørt soon equalised and Sara Kanutte Fornes struck to give the Norwegians a 2-1 interval lead.

Jenny Kristine Røsholm Olsen extended the advantage 8 minutes into the second half, before substitute Ella Rutherford pulled a goal back in the 63rd minute.

Norway play the Netherlands on Friday and England face the Dutch on Sunday.
