Sheffield United have completed the signing of Maddy Cusack who joins the Blades from fellow FA Women’s Championship side Leicester City.
Having come through the Leicester City Regional Talent Centre, Cusack joined Nottingham Forest as a youngster before signing for Aston Villa in 2012. While with the Villains, Cusack, 22, made over 70 appearances.
The former Lionesses U-19 International moved from Birmingham City to Leicester City Women in the summer of 2018 before being released by the Foxes in December.
Speaking to BladesTV, Sheffield United Manager Carla Ward said: ‘We are delighted to get Maddy on board. She will add a little bit of grit into the midfield and I think she will be a key player in the run in.”
