After a 9-0 thrashing of Malta in their opening UEFA U-19 Championship qualifying round group game, England followed that up with another big win over Croatia to reach the Elite Round.

The tie was again done and dusted by half-time, with Rehanne Skinner’s side five goals to the good.

Aimee Palmer opened the scoring on 10 minutes, Jessica Park doubling the lead and Hannah Griffin getting the third on 35 minutes.

Palmer’s second came from a penalty which Nicole Douglas won and Park then also doubled her tally.

In the first 9 minutes of the second half, Park not only completed her hat-trick but netted for fourth goal of the match.

Lucy Fitzgerald was denied by the woodwork but Sophie Domingo made it 8-0 in added time.

England finish the group against Slovakia on Sunday morning.
