Swansea City won the Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League Cup Final 4-1 despite Cardiff City FC scoring first at Dragon Park.

Phoebie Poole put the Bluebirds ahead from close range on 17 minutes, the Swans levelling before the interval when Tija Richardson netted via a corner.

A Katy Hosford free kick from wide left seven minutes after the restart sailed straight in to give Swansea the advantage.

Soon afterwards they were in command as Stacey John-Davis made it 3-1, the same player sealing victory with a chipped effort in the last ten minutes.

Swansea next host Abergavenny in the final league game on Sunday, only needing to preserve their unbeaten record to finish top ahead instead of Cardiff Met.
