Swansea City extended their 100% record to stay two points clear of Cardiff Met in the Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League.

Swansea City made it eight straight wins this season with both goals of the game at Abergavenny. Chloe Chivers converted a penalty midway through the first half and netted again ten minutes after the interval from 20 yards.
Cardiff Met stayed within two points of the Swans but from a game more, with a 3-0 defeat of Aberystwyth Town. Elianna Chavez’s early goal was added to by Steph Turner, with Erin Murray scoring a late third.
Cardiff City FC went third with a 3-0 local derby win over Cyncoed. Zoe Atkins struck in either half, Catherine Walsh having made it 2-0 by the break.
Port Talbot Town are up to fourth but needed a last-minute goal to deny Briton Ferry Llansawel a draw. Rachael Ball put the hosts ahead early in the second half and although Lowri Baker levelled with seven minutes left, Lauren Amor grabbed the winner.
There are two midweek matches coming up, as on Wednesday 7 April Abergavenny entertain Cardiff City FC at 7pm, while exactly 24 hours later Briton Ferry face Swansea City.
