Rangers remained goal-difference ahead of Glasgow City after the resumption of the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League.

Rangers hit hosts Hearts for six to go nine goals ahead of second-placed Glasgow City. Samantha Kerr and Lizzie Arnot both bagged a brace, with Kirsty Howat and Zoe Ness also on target.
Glasgow City are five points ahead of Celtic after beating them 3-0 away. Aoive Colvill’s first-half close-range finish was added to after the break as Arna Sif Asgirmsdottir and Niamh Farrelly each scored on their league debuts for the reigning champions.
Spartans leapfrogged Hibernian into fourth spot when winning the Edinburgh derby 2-0. The two goals came in as many second-half minutes, Kat Smart breaking the deadlock and Becky Galbraith doubling the lead.
Forfar Farmington went fifth having come through 3-2 at Motherwell, where all the goals came after the interval. Lisa Ryan’s opener for Forfar was cancelled out by Claire Adams, before Cassie Cowper and Alana Bruce gave the visitors a two-goal cushion and Jordan McLintock pulled one back.
