West Midlands League outfit Leek Town pulled off a shock victory at FAWNL side Leicester United in the Women’s FA Cup 3rd Round Qualifying.

Southampton Women’s 3-1 AFC Bournemouth
Leek Town have won all their games so far in the West Midlands League and continued that form with the only goal at Leicester United, to book a clash with Lincoln City in the next round.
Liverpool Feds set up a tie with Brighouse Town after eventually overcoming underdogs Northwich Vixens. Amelia Panayi gave them a great start with a goal on 5 minutes, Abby Pope and Carla Lee also on target by the midway point and Vixens netting in-between. Northwich then pulled it back to 3-2 only for the Feds to then accelerated clear with a five-minute Channi Thompson treble and second for Pope.
Cheltenham Town now face Leyton Orient after eliminating Exeter City with the help of an Annie Martin hat-trick. Abby Bevan got Town’s first though, the Grecians replying three times in the second period, all by Abbie Britton.
Durham Cestria dismissed Norton 6-2 to set up a meeting with Chester le Street Town in the 1st Round Proper. Danni Purdham, Molly Holder and Jordan Atkinson all scored before half time. Eve Marshall got goals back for Norton either side of Chloe Ryan’s effort for the hosts, Ryan later got her second and Jen Knowles rounded off the scoring.
Southampton Women’s will host South West Premier Portishead Town next Sunday after eliminating south coast rivals AFC Bournemouth. The home side were three up at the break against the Southern League Cherries, Marie Yeates got the first, Erin Bloomfield forced an own-goal and Aine McKeever made it 3-0. Bournemouth got a consolation goal in the latter stages.
