FA Women’s National League games on Tuesday saw Watford go top in the Southern Premier and Norwich City move level on points with the Division 1 South East leaders.
Southern Premier
Cheltenham Town 1-1 Bridgwater United (Att: 51)
Crawley Wasps 0-4 Watford (Att: 123)
Watford were two up on half-time at basement side Crawley, on their way to going top of the table. Allison Palisch’s opener was added to by Poppy Wilson, Gemma Davison and Ellie Head both scoring in a five-minute spell midway through the second half to make sure of the points.
Cheltenham were ahead against Bridgwater with an Emily Owen penalty until Laura Holden levelled with three minutes to go. Despite the late setback, the promoted Robins remain ahead of United in the table.
Division 1 South East
Norwich City 2-1 Cambridge City (Att: 248)
Norwich City are just goal-difference behind leaders Hashtag United after defeating Cambridge City. Kathryn Stanley headed Norwich in front but the visitors were level from an eight-minute penalty, before Megan Todd nodded home from a corner for a first-half winner.
