Watford FC Ladies have announced that former Crystal Palace forward Roschelle Shakes has joined them, after playing a big role in two promotions in three seasons for the Eagles.

The Hornets say that in the 2016/17 season she netted 13 times in 27 games, as she helped her side finish fifth in the league.

While the previous campaign was a more frustrating one due to injury, she’s excited for the new opportunity at Watford.

“I wanted a new start,” she revealed. “I came to look at Watford towards the end of last season and really liked the set-up.

“I’ve got experience of playing in this league for two seasons now, so I think that I can navigate it well and can help bring the new girls through,” she told watfordfc.com.
