Chelsea set up a Vitality Women’s FA Cup Fifth Round tie at home to Everton or Durham after defeating London City Lionesses 5-0.

Both Hannah Blundell and Aggie Beever-Jones hit the crossbar, before the former’s perfect curling pass played in Niamh Charles for a clinically-finished opener in the 21st minute.

Jess Carter volleyed in from an Erin Cuthbert corner and Melanie Leupolz made it 3-0 from 30 yards before the break.

Drew Spence bagged a second-half brace for a 5-0 result, slotting home from cut-backs by Charles and Beth England, and might have scored in-between but for a tip-over from Shae Yanez.

Harley Bennett headed over the bar from a corner in a rare chance for the Lionesses, while the only negative point for Chelsea was Magda Ericsson being substituted with an injury.
