The Vitality Women’s FA Cup resumed on Wednesday evening, as Kent Football United edged out Enfield Town on penalties in the last remaining first round tie.

A 25-yard strike from Charlie Goad gave KFU the lead at half time but their FA WNL Division 1 South East rivals equalised just before the hour mark, as Amy Makewell followed up Beau Parker’s shot against the crossbar.

With no addition to the score in extra-time, it came down to a shoot-out in which the hosts went through 4-3, to book a second round trip to Chichester & Selsey this Sunday.
