Manchester City will face Everton in the 2019/20 Vitality Women’s FA Cup at Wembley after a 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

A dominant Manchester City had seen Sam Mewis and Chloe Kelly go close before Caroline Weir won a free kick, which Steph Houghton curled past Manuela Zinsberger.

A rare Arsenal effort at goal brought the scores level, a fantasti 25-yard strike from Jordan Nobbs giving Ellie Roebuck no chance.

The hosts quickly regained the advantage as Ellen White kept Chloe Kelly’s cross into the box and laid it off for Mewis to net.

Arsenal lost Kim Little to injury after the break but Danielle van de Donk forced an awkward deflection of Houghton to her keeper and Demi Stokes had to tackle Vivianne Miedema twice in quick succession.

The Gunners last chance was a stoppage-time free-kick and despite a scramble in the box and save by Roebuck, it was Manchester City who went through to meet Everton in the final at Wembley on 1st November.
